Something to write about or think about today:
Who is bending your ear? To whom are you listening? Are you allowing the negative or the positive voices to be heard in your heart and life?
When someone is critical or harsh, my inclination is to allow that to soak into the deepest part of myself. When someone speaks in complimentary and positive terms, I'm quick to dismiss it. "Oh, it was nothing." "It's not a big deal." I resist letting that good just soak into my pores and deep into my heart. These two processes should be reversed.
This is Fresh Thinking for me. Changing this mindset is a long, slow, and intentional process.
