Potential--
An unopened package of seeds,
A bush whacking adventure,
A new baby.

Potential
meets with
detours,
stormy weather,
unexpected news,
a restless heart.

And in that moment
potential
makes a choice:
     Freeze
               or
                 Retreat
                            or
                              Advance.

And from that energetic flash,
potential becomes static or kinetic--
an entire garden meadow blooms,
a whole new way is forged,
an entire life is lived.
