Here is a self care tip for us all:
Take time to play!
It's so easy to get caught up in work and responsibility and forget that the human spirit, body, and mind all need time to play.
I really enjoy snapping a scene close up. I love this photo from a recent romp on a cold hillside in the country. (It was so cold that the water drop is actually frozen!) I like that a digital camera can make an outing an adventure filled with play. I'm often pleasantly surprised by the results! Creating is my favorite sort of play--paintings, collage, writing, doodling, and many other activities, too!
Sometimes taking time to play feels so self-indulgent, but in my spirit I know that it is making a better mother and teacher and human being!
