Anyway, I'm on vacation this week in Ocean City, Maryland, and the one thing I REALLY wanted to do was see the wild ponies on Assateague Island. Yesterday we went to the island. It was incredibly beautiful and natural. We went to the visitor center. We drove around looking for the ponies. We hiked. We went to the GORGEOUS beach. While I sat on the beach, I was thinking I just need to be satisfied with the experience without the ponies. Then my husband and son return from the restroom, and it took them so long because the ponies were in the parking lot.
Note to the striver in me: Do your part and then let it go. What is supposed to be in your life will be there. It's not based on what you strive to bring in or strive to keep out.
What message do you have for the striver in you?
