
Here is a self care tip for everyone BRAVE today:
Let self care be spontaneous!
Here's the thing--I often think self care means having a huge chunk of time to do something fun or going on a big fancy retreat or indulging in an expensive purchase or having/doing something BIG.
The thing I've been noticing recently is that it's really the little stuff--the spontaneous trip to the woods with my little family, or a walk alone, or a freshly brewed cup of coffee, or adding a few brush strokes to a painting or reading a little snippet of inspiration. Those spontaneous moments of self care are the ones that can really turn the tide. It's when I let go of some piece of the impossible to do list and just practice being present that I start to relax and take care of myself.
