When do you allow yourself to be filled with wonder?
Are you fostering wonder, dear brave heart?
Last week we went walking by a little branch of the Cuyahoga River. It was really high and flooded. The other end of the branch Sam is touching was in the river. Water was rushing. It felt like a motor was attached. Sam was filled by wonder. We all had to touch the log, and he was watching the expression on our faces. He was looking for an expression of wonder.
Here are some things that might fill you with wonder:
- Walking in the woods
- Standing/sitting/or walking by a body of water
- Holding a new baby
- Listening to a person laugh
- Playing with kids
- Looking at the stars and moon
- Looking at beautiful art
- Creating something--food or art or writing or clothing or whatever you feel like creating
- Trying something new
- Watching the sunset
- Facing a fear
BraveTeacher, you are WONDER--full! Please don't forget that!
