Only A Little Piece

An affirmation for all BRAVE hearts today:

I accept that I only see part of the situation.
I cannot see the whole picture.
I am powerless over all parts, except my own.

As someone who likes to fix everything and make it "just right," this is a tough one for me--both personally and professionally. I love to feel like all is right in the universe. I only see a small part of any situation. I am powerless over all parts except my own.

Sometimes it feels so disheartening that I cannot even see it all, and I'll never be able to care for it all. I don't even want to accept that as true.

Today I am going to make a sane choice. I am just going to see as clearly as I can what I can. And then I am going to work at showing up and being the best that I can be. That is the only little piece that I can do. And if we all do that, who knows? Maybe it will all come together.

Please know, Brave Heart, that your little piece is so important and valuable. You are loved and lovely. I'm sending out a little courage and strength.

Intentional

An affirmation for all brave hearts:

Today I am intentional in the ways
that I move through life
and interact with the world around me.

Sometimes I find it too easy to get caught up in the busy day to day stuff and just totally lose track of the fact that I have so many choices every day. When I take those choices into consideration, I am being intentional. I find that my life is more like me and I am comfortable in my own skin when I am intentional.

Love vs. Fear

Here is an affirmation for all BRAVE hearts today:

I really like this stack of affirmation cards I made last summer, but this one is my favorite. I've been thinking again about how I believe that every day every person is making decision from fear or from love. I am powerless over all those decisions, except my own. Catherine Just talked about this topic on her video blog this week--especially the becoming fearless part. {I just love her!}

I do believe that affirmations are a powerful way to change our thinking and our actions. An affirmation for everyone BRAVE today:

I have everything I need to be who I am meant to be and to accomplish everything I am meant to do.

I think it's soooo easy to forget this in the face of faster, brighter, shinier, smarter, more attractive and richer. You are here to do something in a unique and beautiful way that is different than everyone else who is or was or will be on this Earth.

Overflowing Love + Give Away

An affirmation for us all today:

My heart is overflowing with love today, and I share the overflow with the world around me. I am at peace.

This is soooo power-full! It's something that I'm still trying to learn in both my personal and professional life. When I am filled up with love, I am then in a place where I can start to share the overflow with the people around me. I often feel like I'm really depleted and still trying to give to others--it doesn't work. Period.

So an action step for all of us brave hearts today is asking, what do I need to be filled with love? I need time to do some work I'm anxious to complete, and I need to do something just for fun--I'm going to the roller derby tonight!

Here's a little self care and affirmation in one, just for you today:

I know my needs and I take action to have my needs met.

This mini vision board is an example of some of my needs. It reminds me of what I need to really be at my best. It also reminds me of what I need to ask for, most often time, to have my needs met.
