I made this little video years ago. I think someone out there needs it today! Have a good one!
![]() Something to write or think about today: What is your favorite part of summer? or parts--it's hard to have just one! How do you feel differently in the summer? I totally love the ease with which I live. I don't stop. I'm still creating and working, but there is an ease to it. I plan and cook nutritious meals without total fatigue. I am more gentle with myself about completing tasks, so ironically, more gets done. I take time to look at the sundrops blooming in my backyard. I parent without a hurry up and rush mentality. It is a sweet spot that I want to keep. How about you? An affirmation for us all: I live and work with ease. P.S. I would love to have you check out the sidebar to the right. I have some juicy and amazing offerings. Inspiration. . .Personalized Professional Development. . .Yoga. . .and more. Please sign up and join us. I'm looking forward to working with you! ![]() Here is a super simple affirmation for us all today: I am so blessed. What does being blessed mean to you? For me it's most often that uncomfortable feeling of knowing that I'm fully alive and present and in the thick of things. Today's February Defrost painting is titled "Blessed." You can check out all the details HERE. ![]() I just adore the writing of Rumi. I find so much it what he says that affirms my sustainability. Here's hoping you find some courage and sustainability in these little gems: “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” “Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” And here are a couple questions to write or think about today based on these quotes: ~What do you do that brings you that joy? ~What is one step you can take today to unfold your own myth? Sending you courage and strength from the bottom of my heart! My authenticity shines brightly today. ![]() My word for this year is "Shine." At first I thought I would have a great breakthrough and everything (or almost everything) would sparkle and glisten. I'm finding a deeper twist on the word. I'm finding that authenticity has the power to outshine everything else. I shine when I am truly present. I'm beaming when I recognize that I am enough. I am shining when my internal messiness seeps out around the edges. There is a glow around me when I'm not trying to be someone else. {Or teach like someone else or dress like someone else or parent like someone else or create art like someone else.} I'm learning how to sit with my authentic self, even when I'm blinded by the white heat of it all. This little light of mine, I'm gonna' let it shine. Please join me! When does your authenticity shine brightly? |
