The question for August is, "What do you need to receive from your brave journey?"
If we don't begin with the end in mind we can never accurately measure our success or growth. We do this all the time with our students, but how often do we consider this for ourselves and our own life process? There will always be something to pull away our attention, but the answers to our focusing questions will bring us back to what really matters.
This summer I attended World Domination Summit in Portland, Oregon. It's a motley community of folks who desire to live a remarkable life in an conventional world. There are three main unifying principles of the people who attend WDS: Community, Adventure, and Service. Those are the pillars by which I am determining what I need from the journey. I think I am especially strong with service, and if anything I may need to pull back in that area. I know that my community is out there, but I hope to find for myself and create for others more community. In the area of adventure, I know I must make that more of a focal point on this brave journey. I want to jump at opportunities for adventure--especially with travel and new experiences. I have recently realized that adventure really fuels me in an amazing way>
Now it's your turn: What do you need from your brave journey?
Think about it, write about it, share it in the comments or on our Facebook page.
I'm so glad your along for the journey!
Sending your courage and strength,
Brave Teacher Mim
