Remember when I offered this amazing heart connecting class, The Art and Soul of Brave Teachers?  It's happening again!

Next week, July 11- 15,  I will be guiding one session each day from Monday - Friday from 3:30 - 5:30 in the afternoon.  I can't imagine a better way to spend some lazy summer afternoons than sharing this with Brave Teachers.  We will journal and talk and create some inspirational little art projects.  If you want more information, email me.

Lakeside is an incredibly relaxing place that I can't wait to share with my little family.  It's a "Chautauqua" style community.  It's a wonderful place to nourish your mind, body, and spirit.  I'm looking forward to taking lots of pictures and creating just for fun, too

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway

Something to think about or write about today:

If courage is feeling the fear and doing it anyway, then what am I feeling afraid to do or try or start today?

The path of life can lead us on twisting paths where the way ahead is not visible.  Where we can see several paths, but it's not clear where to go.

I love thinking and planning and imagining.  When it's time to do it, I feel A LOT of fear and anxiety.

I'm taking an online podcasting class that just started yesterday.  I want to have the first week assignments done before I leave on vacation on Saturday.  (This may be unnecessary pressure to put on myself--don't know.)  I consider myself  interested in technology, but I fear it, too. It's hard to do something new.  I get tense.  I snap at people I love.  I doubt myself.  The beauty of being brave, is that I still do it.

Where is courage pulling you through, despite the fear?

Eat Your Veggies

A self care tip just for you today:

Eat more fresh vegetables!

One of the best things about summer is it's a great time to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  The more good stuff we put into our bodies, the more energy we have for bravely thinking and creating.

When I feel yucky or lethargic or fat my first thought is to eliminate items from my diet--no more junk food or red meat.  Interestingly I feel much healthier more quickly when I intentionally add more salad green, rather than worrying about what I should eliminate.  My little family participates in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) so we end up with veggies that I didn't no much about like garlic scapes.  Thanks to a stand at a local farmers' market I have 2 great recipes for garlic scapes.  One is a frittata and the other is a pesto that is so delicious over baked chicken!

What veggies do you enjoy?
