![]() I'm so excited! Visioning The Best Year Ever: A Play Book and Plan Book For Teachers is almost here! I've been working on it, and now I'm putting the finishing touches on it right now. It's going to be sooo good! Here are some reasons you might want it:
Check out the introduction here! More will be here soon! I can't wait to share with you! ![]() Something to think about or write about today: How do I feel about the passage of time? Do I shame myself about how I use time? How can I nurture myself about the movement and use of time? I have many mixed feelings about time. You can read some of my current thoughts here. ![]() Exciting news. Little sets of our line of photo cards, Affirmative Greetings, are available at Miss Mercedes in Lakeside, Ohio. I took this photo through the window of the shop! I like Mercedes and her shop so much that I've worked for her before! Yumminess! If you're near Lakeside, stop in and check out her shop and the cards! (If you're in the top half of Ohio and looking for a good day trip, this might just be it!) If you want to check out the cards, but can't make it to Miss Mercedes, then visit the etsy shop. Hope you're finding some peace, love, and happiness today! ![]() A self care tip for today: Try something new! It can be big or small, but do something you've never done before. It could be a road trip or hosting a dinner party or going to a new restaurant or shop or museum. There will be this little shift inside of you that will be empowerment or change or courage. Let yourself enjoy it, too. I did something new today. You can read about it here. ![]() Something to think about or write about today. . . What is one little baby step that I can take toward achieving my goal? This question and the answer has got me moving so many times before. I've done this off and on for years. One of my favorite people who speaks about it is SARK. She calls these little baby steps "micromovements." An example of a micromovement or baby step is when I was thinking about starting Brave Teachers I had tons of ideas swirling in my head, but no time to actualize them. I thought, "What if I had a notebook and started writing stuff down?" So my baby step was going to the store and buying a spiral notebook. It wasn't even to start writing stuff down. It was just buy the notebook. Remember: You don't have to move the mountain today--just pick up the first pebble! ![]() An affirmation for you today: I am resting in the knowledge that today I am exactly where I am supposed to be, and today I am doing exactly what I am supposed to do. Isn't it easy to forget this? I don't need to have everything done or see the whole picture or even know what tomorrow will hold. There are enough concerns for today, and I will have the courage to be content where I am. ![]() I've just returned from an absolutely delightful week at Lakeside. I'm spinning right now from connections I made with people and plots I hatched with them and on my own! All the interconnectedness of humanity--{deep sigh.} I need some time to think and write about it all. One thing I have to say for Lakeside is that it's never the same twice for me. (This is good, but sometimes it's a little disappointing, too.) Here are some of the highlights: I taught Art and Soul of Brave Teachers while I was there. I watched my little family play in the water while I squished my toes in the sand. I read a couple books. I walked around and got some great photos. I took a class and learned how to make cool necklaces from old T-shirts--super cool! I made new friends and visited with old friends! What were you up to last week? So I'm on vacation with my little family at Lakeside. It's amazing. I'll send pictures and more when I'm at home.
I see my friend and Brave Teacher, Mercedes. And she thinks I'm crazy for not doing more with Facebook. I tend to agree. So here is the first baby step right here from vacation. So I need your help! In order for Brave Teachers to have its own Facebook page, it needs at least 25 fans. Will you become a Brave Teachers Facebook Fan? It's quick and easy right here! Thank you, in advance, because you will make it happen! There will be so much more when I get home, so stay tuned! |
