Brave Teachers,
Keep watching here for details about 2 summer opportunities to do The Art and Soul of a Brave Teacher. Both are being firmed up in the next week or 2. I can't wait to invite you with all the juicy details! Dear Brave Teachers,
Your work is so important! I want you to know that you are so cherished. If you go to Brave Resources you can print off a FREE poster that I made for you. I hope you will read it and believe it! You are a remarkable human being and a brilliant teacher! Sending you courage, Brave Teacher Mim ![]() There is a gate somewhere that is just waiting to be opened by you. Open it! Go ahead! Walk right through! It might be pursuing a dream you have or taking a break from the hectic frenzy of life. It might be getting together with friends or going on a solo adventure. You know what it is. I live with a two year old (yep, he's the cutie pie in this photo) and procrastination is not something he can wrap his brain around! Dear Brave One, please don't put it off! Open the gate. And be good to yourself. Here are some questions to think about and write about today: What brings you joy? What about teaching brings you joy? How do you share your joy with others? ![]() Self Care Tip #1 Go for a walk outside, and look for the little things. Find some wonder! Don't fight me on this! Some of you are saying you're too busy or that won't change anything. While you may be busy, and it won't change anything external, there will be a subtle shift in your heart. I can promise that your heavy burdens will seem a little lighter. Really focus on the little things tha you would never see or hear or smell if you were driving by in a car--the veins on a leaf, the moss on a tree trunk, various bird sounds (or car alarms) and the smell of rain or dirt. I've blogged lots about walking (I believe it has miraculous power!)--the 2 most recent are here and here. |
