Nurture

Mother's Day is so much about honoring nurturing, so brave heart, let's nurture ourselves.

Here's the question:

What can I do today to nurture myself and love my life more?


I find that it's usually not some big crazy thing like moving to Italy.  It's usually small doable things.  Today I am going to go on a picnic with my little family to a park I really like.  I'm hoping to make some art while we're there.  Keeping it simple is the best way I can nurture myself and the people around me.

Rest Makes Me More Efficient

An affirmation for every BRAVE person today:

I know my limits.
I rest when I need to rest,
so that I can fully reach
my potential.



It's easy to rush through life because my to do list so long.  Here is the interesting thing I'm learning--when I keep pushing, I don't just become more tired, but I also become much less efficient.  I also become a less pleasant person to be around.  I'm learning to let go of many nonessentials.  {Living with a 3 year old helps me do this, too!)  I'm finding that I can do more in a rested hour than in 2-3 fatigued hours.  Crazy and good.




I hope you will be taking it easy with me this evening for the FIRST ever Brave Teacher live chat tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern.  I'm really excited to share this time on the topic of Finishing Well!
